The 2008 ZR1 Corvette is equipped with optional carbon-ceramic brake rotors. Carbon-ceramic brake rotors must be discarded when their unique minimum mass/weight is met or exceeded. Accurate measurement of the brake rotor mass is required to ensure safe operation and braking system performance. CH-48897 allows the technician to accurately measure the mass of the brake rotor to determine its suitability for re-use. CH-48897 includes a calibrated weight that is to be used prior to each measurement cycle.
